BSIS PPO visit to a private patrol operator business "Help!
I'm a PPO and I just got a scary
letter from BSIS in the mail about wanting to
come and review my in-office records in a week!

It says:
'RE: Visit To Your Private Patrol Operator Business

Dear Mr PPO,
This letter serves as notice of the Bureau's plans to visit your place of
business this month, to conduct a review of your business operations . . .

. . . meeting with principals and possibly employees . . .
. . . operational review . . .   . . . will require one to two hours to complete . . . '

Did I do something wrong?!    What is this for?!    What should I do?!
Do I need an attorney?!    Can I be fined or lose my license?!
What are they looking for?!    Can I prepare?!    Help!"

Private Patrol Operator business compliance visit  It's an updated program that started in 2015.letter from BSIS for a compliance check while visiting a private patrol operator busines

It's known as a 'routine' BSIS PPO Compliance Operational Review Visit
audit conducted by Bureau Enforcement staff representatives.
And by the way, it is not just 'for records'.

Some PPOs don't receive the letter; instead, their only
warning is the follow-up reminder phone call from BSIS.
The letter is vague anyhow-- it gives no clue what will be askd for.

There will be certain record inspections. Photos will be taken. Can take 2 hours.
Questions will be asked.
A follow-up visit likely will also be scheduled.
PPOs can be stunned by issues and violations they were not ready for.

There are three major areas of concern, and many lesser ones.
Knowing what to expect and to prepare for could save you headaches and/or big fines.

The issues and violations often come from forgetfulness or refusal to follow regulations.
We have the knowledge and supplies to assist you with
improving compliance and could reduce your likely penalties.

Known as a 'PPO Compliance Review Audit Visit Assistance Kit',
it includes actual visit data as well as three spreadsheet-type
fill-in-the-blanks paper forms needed for the exact key data

that others have been found to be negligent on.
