Here are eight NY test 'tips' to know:

1- Watch out for 'double-negatives'!

2- Some answer choices are VERY similar,
with only small differences!

3- A NY WGP might need to know bail law for the test,
even if he/she will never do bail work!

4- Retired cops are extra-weak with the 'employee'
and 'business management' portions.

5- Some are 'opinion' questions,
but you better have the 'right' opinion!

6- Where most other license tests ask
you to choose the 'best' answer choice,
you might find a few on the NY tests that actually ask

7- Look out for time-eater 'paragraph questions':
Many test questions follow the reading of a long paragraph,
then the actual questions are about that paragraph.
Some ask 'What was most important about that paragraph?'

8- Prepare for choosing 'Desirable' or 'Undesirable' as answer choices.
