The examination is comprised of 75 (seventy-five) questions which break down as follows: 55 (fifty-five) questions cover the current rules and regulations that govern the practice of private investigating in the state of Missouri and 20 (twenty) questions are relevant to general practice of private investigation. Applicants are given two (2) hours to complete the examination. To successfully pass the examination applicants must achieve a seventy percent (70%) or better pass rate.
The examination begins promptly at 1:00pm and is administered at the Division of Professional Registration, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri, unless we have to change location due to number of applicants taking the examination.
The cost to take the examination is $80.00, which is paid at when an applicant submits their examination application.
